Miniature Horses

Words cannot accurately express the joy that our miniature horses have given our family. We learned at the very beginning that bloodlines mean everything when dealing with minis. We bought horses that possessed the finest bloodlines in the world: Buckeroo, Boogerman, Orion, EK, Little Andy and Sids Rebel.

We are proud to be the home of Rivers Edge the Highway Man, the son of Bantam Buckeroo. He is a 28 inch ultra refined palamino, sure to carry on the Buckeroo and Boogerman legacies.

Miniature Horse Information:

The miniature horse, as registered by the American Miniature Horse Association, has a maximum height of 34 inches at five years of age. They are measured from the from the last hair on the mane, at the shoulders, staight down to level ground.

Horses are shown in halter classes as well as obstacle courses and cart events. Many people start out with just one as a pet and quickly become addicted to them. They ultimately become breeders.

A mini horse can be kept in the average back yard. They don't bark and probably won't attack your neighbor.

In a pasture setting, they are fun to watch as there is a "pecking order" or heirarchy by which they live. A dominant horse runs the herd and young horses or new additions to the herd quickly discover "the boss".
